Common FAQs
The best way to find out if your electrical installation is safe is to have it inspected and tested by a person who has the competence to do so.
We are happy to provide estimates for new construction projects as well as some renovation/remodel jobs depending on existing conditions. For most other work, such as service calls, it has been our experience that each job is unique. Therefore, it is difficult to name a set fee.
We appreciate our customers’ budgets and the preference for an accurate price, however, usually the scope of work is subject to change once a site visit and further diagnosis has been made. Once the problem has been diagnosed or the job has been looked at and discussed thoroughly, a price may be given more accurately. We believe this is fair to all parties.
All electrical work carried out in a domestic dwelling must be certified by a qualified and competent electrician who is backed by a standards organisation. If the electrical work is notifiable the local building depart must be given a copy of the certification.
If you live in an older property which hasn’t been tested for a few years it would be prudent having a periodic inspection carried out.
Indicators that you may need a rewire could be damaged worn or exposed cables, fuses tripping parts of the circuit not operating ,buzzing or crackling sounds if any of these are the case you should contact a qualified Electrician.
(LEDs) light-emitting diodes. Even though these lamps can initially cost more bulbs, they use less energy and last longer so will save you money in the long-term.
